This week safety professionals across New York gathered in the consulate general of Ireland to discuss their safety challenges and successes. They were joined by Mick O’ Connor who spoke about safety culture within Mercury Engineering and the safety landscape in Ireland. Attendees represented construction giants such as Skanska, Structure Tone, Shawmut and Navillus and sparked interesting discussions regarding the management of safety in New York and best practices which could be shared.
